Upcoming Music Events

Friday, February 12th

7:00pm - 9:00pm The Heartstrings

Join us for an evening of our favorite love songs to get the ball rolling for Valentines Day!

Friday, February 19th

7:00pm - 9:00pm Drew Peterson

“Drew Peterson is a top-flight lyricist, a sardonic, scatological songwriter who tempers his mournful insights with gallows humor…”

-Ira Brooker of Art Hounds, MPR

Drew Peterson, legendary West Bank singer-songwriter, has relaunched his Minneapolis based Americana solo act. This latest project, which is songwriter heavy, with splashes of piedmont blues and americana roots tunes, includes vocals, guitar/banjo, and often percussion (Daryn Christenson).

With over 20 years of work in the music scene, Peterson has been the frontman of three successful projects: The Dead Pigeons, Forty Watt Bulb, as well as his solo career. His 2015 season included over 150 shows in New Mexico, California, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, and included The Minnesota Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Festival, Hiawatha Festival, Porcupine Mountains Music Festival, Boats and Bluegrass, Door County Beer Festival, First Avenue, among many others.

This relaunch is pleasing to the ears and good for the soul. The year is shaping up wonderfully with a new album in the works and a chunk of great shows on the calendar.

Friday, February 26th

7:00pm - 9:00pm Drew Peterson & Palmer T. Lee

Palmer T. Lee, who hails from Minneapolis, was nineteen years old when he inherited a couple of banjos and discovered he could reassemble them into his dream instrument. After cutting his teeth through his twenties and releasing three records with local string band The Boys N The Barrels, he has since moved into the national scene with his latest project The Lowest Pair. The Lowest Pair features Palmer’s collaboration with Kendl Winter (K Records) and has released three titles on Team Love Records (with two more due out this year). The duo have enjoyed nationwide success with acclaim (from SPIN, PASTE, American Songwriter, etc) for Palmer’s unique banjo stylings, and percussive wordplay that weeps like Townes Van Zandt and whoops like John Hartford.
