Eligibility
Please ensure your request meets the following criteria: 

• Your organization is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Proof of 501(c)(3) status,  such as the IRS determination letter or a document showing your EIN and nonprofit classification should be emailed to info@blackwatercc.com. 

• The event is in Minnesota—ideally in one of our service communities: Maple Plain, Minnetonka, or Minneapolis.

• The requested donation will be used for fundraising purposes (e.g. silent auction, raffle, live auction).

• You submit your request at least 30 days before the event.

• No phone calls, emails, or mailed requests will be accepted—requests must be submitted online.

These guidelines help us review applications fairly and ensure we support as many community events as possible.​​​

Submission & Timing

• Submit at least 30 days in advance. Due to volume, late or rushed requests may not be considered. 

• One request per organization per year, unless otherwise approved.

• All decisions are final. If approved, donations will be delivered or arranged ahead of your event. Please don’t call us to check status—we will be in touch via email.

Request Form

• Organization name, address, and tax ID.

• Contact name, phone number, and email.

• A brief description of your mission and event.

• Event date, purpose (e.g., auction, raffle), and audience size.

• How donations will be used and public recognition plans (e.g., logo in program, social media mention).

Recognition & Acknowlegement

• Approved recipients should be ready to include Blackwater’s name or logo in your event materials or social media. We deeply appreciate when our support is acknowledged—they help us continue meaningful contributions to our neighborhoods. 

• Please provide a tax acknowledgment letter or donation receipt upon receiving the donation. This helps us maintain accurate records and meet IRS documentation requirements.

Blackwater Coffee & Café reviews all donation requests on a case-by-case basis. While we strive to support as many local initiatives as possible, we are unable to fulfill every request.

• Proof of nonprofit status is required for tax-deductible donations.

• We prioritize requests from organizations in the communities we serve
