This Friday, Blackwater is pleased to welcome back a great group of musicians, Homeward Bound!
Based in Edina, Homeward Bound is a band that has been active in the Twin Cities for over 20 years. Steeped in the rich vocal harmonies of 60s, 70s, and 80s pop, the band's repertoire is "upper Midwestern roots music," a mixture of originals and covers that includes rock, pop, blues, country, gospel and even a little reggae and funk from time to time.
The band's current lineup includes keyboardist Brad Carlin, drummer Josh Carlin, guitarist Jim Fuller, pianist Heather Succio, guitarist Susan Thompson, and bassist Brian Wilson. The band is surprisingly "democratic," with all members contributing percussion, vocals, and song ideas. Come on down to Blackwater for supper and catch the show!
